Project Environment:
The Municipality of Piraeus commissioned KATAKORYFO SMPC to implement the project “Provision of Services within the Framework of the Film Office,” aiming to enhance the city’s tourism and cultural outreach by attracting and facilitating audiovisual productions.
The Piraeus Film Office aims to transform the city into a hub for film and television activities, boosting the local economy and highlighting Piraeus’ unique cultural and aesthetic features as a destination for creative productions.
Project Scope:
KATAKORYFO SMPC was responsible for implementing actions related to the design, operation, and promotion of the new Piraeus Film Office.
The project was organized into three main deliverables:
D-1: Implementation of Preparatory Actions for the Organization and Operation of the Film Office

Study of the operational and functional organization of the Film Office

Training of staff with a total duration of 40 hours

Final report on training results, in both printed and electronic form
D-2: Operation of the Film Office and Production of Supporting Digital Tools

Final report on the organization and operation of the Film Office’s physical office

Design and printing of informational brochures, roll-up banners, and signage (in Greek and English, using recyclable materials)

Production of a promotional video up to 90’’ (shooting, editing, voice-over, graphics)

Creation of content for two newsletters and an informational website with a management manual (filmoffice.piraeus.gov.gr)

Production of Production and Location Guides covering at least 15 points of interest (photography, videography, descriptions, metadata) with accompanying user manuals

The outcome was the creation of a modern and efficient support mechanism for film and television productions, positioning Piraeus as a dynamic cultural, tourism, and creative destination, while providing comprehensive tools for information, training, and promotion for industry professionals.
